Re: Your Unanswered Prayers

Dear Doubting Thomas,You said you want to be a Christian, but your prayers go unanswered. I have a question for you. Do all of your prayers really go unanswered? What about the really desperate ones? Like when your life was in danger? Many people shrug off answered prayers as a coincidence. Deciding whether or not be a Christian holds eternal consequences so it is necessary to be absolutely certain your prayers really do go unanswered. Try this: 1) Buy a journal. 2) Write a simple, unselfish, realistic prayer that you would like to be answered. 3) Leave some space to write at the bottom whether it was answered, unanswered, or answered in a surprising way.  4) If you still have doubt, add another prayer. You can keep adding prayer requests until you are content with your conclusion. It may take a little more effort than silently wishing, but this method will give you an objective, rational basis for your mindset. God really does hear your prayers, and he is eager to reveal his nature to someone who truly wants to know. Sincerely, Your Friend in Christ

P.S. “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us” (1John 5:14).
